Here's the second one: Northern Ireland, more near a coalition between Catholics and Protestants The Sinn Feinn, political arm of...
Instead of 'witnessed' I would use 'filled up'. And where it says 'Adams to last year...', i'd rather use Adams until last year.
Finally 'efforts of the IRA by ousting for the force', I would replace it by 'efforts of the IRA to oust the government...'
Apart from these, the rest is OK, exactly the same meaning. Good for you, Bood
henry and Knock (the ones I know are from Northern Ireland), what are the feelings in the streets, what do...
nobody real cares a lot to be honest , most have lost any faith in sf.. also to add that the loyalist parties insisted that s.f should recognise police boards now they have done that the loyalists are dreaming up new conditions for s.f entry into goverment

have to agree with henry, no matter what sf do the mister paisley and his lick spittles will put up new objections, really what the want is the status quo back to pre 69 when unionists ruled and catholics touched their foreheads to the unionist boss
That was my thoughts -but isn't it interesting the way that all this info proving that anti Catholic atrocities were not figments of the imagination has only "emerged" now? I wonder if they could have moved the peace process on quicker if it had been allowed to emerge earlier?
Sinn Fein might have turned a corner, but as for the rest of republicans.....well thats a different story not to...
just like we cant trust special branch !or the kincora cover up boys , the uvf , the uda , uff, the redhand commandos, the british army ,utv bbc ni , british press all fine outstanding fellows indeed !honest as the days long
i notice in a previous post a clip from the media that 20 % of all new recruits to the ruc/psni are catholic , true except these catholics are from poland and they will obey their new masters in the same way as the old ruc , loyality to the fat paypacket

Good Day. I am from Canada, born and raised here. I think the article was representing the truth. Don't you think it is about time that an oulawed force, regardless who they are, should finally back the police. The police have a tough enough job ( I wouldn't want to be one) without worrying about not having the backing of a large contingency. People get together by collaberation and compromise and not holding on to the past. I think that it is time to let go of the past and work to move forwards.
And simply because it says that the IRA was responsible for 1/2 of the deaths doesn't mean that any single group was responsible for the other half. There are many Protestant groups and many Catholic groups not including the IRA. The IRA was outlawed many years ago. They, like many of the Protestant groups are murderers, thugs and terrorists.
Thats how I see it here in Canada.
The only news that I see is BBC that we get twice a week on the Television. I don't watch it all the time. Just catch a few here and there.
Hello Beyondimages. Everyone has the right to give their opinion, but IMHO the ideas, feelings, experiences of those who live there, who has experienced the violence, the discrimination etc are more worthy than mine (simply because I don't live there, and everything I know is through books, news and not life)

what a noble post , but if i may can i point out a few facts to someone who wasnt born or lived here , the police i.e the r.u.c now called the p.s.n.i ran and still run the the loyalists murder gangs via there special branch , they where involved in the dublin and monaghan bombings , and the targeting of at least 350 catholics for execution , try reading reading the police commision report before you give these fine upstanding citizens any medals

The Associated Press has a correspondent in the six counties by the name of Shawn Pogatchnik. This may be a pseudonym but the writing is favorable to the Unionists on a continual basis. Most US newspapers get their news from this source. I suspect the correspondent's sources are his friends in a Unionist pub. Some years back we picketed a local public radio station for carrying the BBC news.
