i know candyland is mostly country, but she did a bluegrass piece on a special i saw recently--her voice was really good for it--there was a trio, 2 sisters and a brother, all young that could really get done--however, i just can't get there name from the back of my brain toward the front.

Well The Ramones were a great group for a start. If yer like punk ( lol I bet she dont )
Stiff Little Fingers are a great irish band. If yer just like Irish rock/folk stuff try the Saw Doctors if yer havent already.
Tommy Ramone ( formerly with The Ramones ) just started a new bluegrass group n theyve released an album but...
You've finally reached that age of ...oh it's just on the tip of me tongue ... I can see it but can't read it stage ... WELCOMMMMMMMMMEEEEEEEEEE Deano ...
lol Peggy , ive been at that stage for donkeys years. My memory is shot. I was havin a discussion with Lim the other day in the car n I said that I remembered the whatever we were on about ( see forgot that too lol ) better than her. She asked me " what did we do yesterday? " n with that I conceded the point LOL.
wildflower if yer like country/ rock check out Trent Tomlinson. Lim n me went to see him at Joe's Bar downtown Chicago a couple of weeks back. Puts on a crackin show. Got a single out at the moment " one wing in the fire". Its a slow un but he does lots of more upbeat ones too. You wont be disappointed!!! Look him up on cmt.com or at & t blueroom.
deano--thanks for the suggestions--fyi, i do like some punk, heavy metal,r&b,a very little rap(not the haed core stuff),classical,folk,classic/current/pop rock
and some oldies rock and of ,course, country.
