As Ireland and Irish folk around the world celebrate Saint Patricks Day on 17th March, what song or special bit of music will you be playing....cheers Katy

"The Unicorn Song" by the Irish Rovers is a given in my house. Just before we moved out here four...

It's a little late for St. Pat's but here's some Unicorn for you.

For St.Pat's, I was at a local cultural center for a fundraiser with a silent auction, fabulous food, an interesting guitar player, an emcee who butchered the language but cheers for giving a go at teaching everyone a bit of Irish that evening...all followed by a wonderful video of Danú; and even though we were only experiencing them through the wonders of film, many in the audience were applauding throughout

Thank you! Many years ago the Rovers would sit in with us when they were in town -- until things got out of hand at an after-hours party.

It wasn't the Rovers. Our fearless leader put way too much booze under his belt and started a shoving match with Will. Will held his temper really well but they never stopped by again. A couple of times after that Joe and I compared our shoemaker's thumbs but we had no more sessions.

Too bad--the Rovers seem like they'd have been fun to hang around with.

They were fun to hang around with and they weren't too taken up with themselves, either. Our associations were brief but a big part of my "best" years.

Thank you! In the picture, the boys are less than an hour old. I'm gathering up all my children's songs to make a special CD for putting them to sleep. If I can get myself away from the computer, I'll make some pull-toys.

Do you have a special Irish Song, that brings back memories, or even a Irish Singer that you like.
I have a set of 4 CDs 'Complete Ireland' I love Erin Shore by Celtic Spirit, but then again its hard to pick just one or two, they are all great. Do you have a favourite CD please do share with others. cheers Katy
