Hi All!
I have been busy with work and now must tend to the flower beds. Here in Oklahoma our normal drought has come to an end with a big bang last week. On Tuesday we faced tornadoes all around us with no electricty so we just had to wonder what was happening and stay aware of the sky which is hard to do when you have hundreds of trees blocking the sky. It rained and rained and rained. We had 10 plus inches of rain in a few hours. My creek came to a few feet of my door. This doesn't happen very often here and it is the first real scare since we moved her 4 years ago. We bussily put things we could up high (in the dark) until we could no more. We had a spot that if the water got that high we would leave and go up hill from here because there was no getting out of here by now. It hit that spot and then started receding. Thank God for that! My flower beds are full of weeds and there is sand all over my back yard from the creek. It changed the view of the creek and it is quite interesting what this force of water has done. Still love it out here but the spring should be over soon.

Glad that you survived it all sregan. We have had a fair bit of rain but we are still on water restrictions..Its odd and evens days now.
If you addy is a even number you are allowed to water for a half hour, same with the odds.
This is on the coastal area....inland is a differant story , those poor people there are really suffering.

More rain today but at least it wasn't buckets of rain! I am sure before long it will be hot and dry and I will be lementing over that!
Hope all is well in your gardens. Mine needs lots of attention. As soon as it isn't a muddy mess I will be out there knee deep in the weeds! Hugs to you all!

sregan--lmao! i was busy attacking weeds today myself. we are getting a "cool spell" right now--that is to say, highs of 72 during the day instead of 92 or so, and cools at night in the 50's, not the 70's. but my flowers are loving the moderate rain we've been getting here every few days. so, i'm not complaining too much-lol. guess i'll be less enthused when the early summer storms hit here and my yard looks like a lake!

hi, jools, hi, deanne, things going somewhat better here, and hangin' tough for now--how are y'all?
