Hi everyone,

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to keep these cute little rodents out of my flower boxes?? LOL I LOVE my squirrels, but they've gone into my planters and dig my flowers and toss them out of the boxes. Half my pots are naked!! It's getting bad as I'm finding myself walking outside with hands on hips and talking to the squirrels..lolol They look at me as if they understand what I'm saying..lol They're driving me nuts! ha ha no pun intended.

hi, lim, good to see ya' and lol on the squirrels --put out some peanut butter in different places away from flower beds--they also have squirrel feeders at stores now--might wish to try.

I have squirrels too Lim.. they climb up to the bird feeder... unless I put oil on the feeder pole lol..then they slide back down! Sometimes I put sunflower seeds on the fence for them, still, they pick a tomato or apple or 2 sometimes.

try a twelve bore shotgun.(Providing they are grey) It works for me. grey squirrels are a pest they destroy young trees they eat birds eggs. ever since they were introduced to ireland they have been a pest. If you don't like to kill the little beasts. You can put chopped whins around the flowers. It works for me.

some tin wrapped around half way up the tree with stop them.
In the south pacific islands they do that with coconut trees and it works.

(hugs)) not for one moment did I think you would shoot, the squirrels, but I gather they can be a pest. I live between Northumberland and Durham on the Northern Coast of UK, but while I was born and bred here my roots are in Ireland.
Lost count now how many holiday we have had over in Ireland, but each one.lol.even the times it rained the holidays have been magic.
Between work, chores, decorating etc I am doing my Family History Tree.lol slow but getting there. blessings Katy
