Hi Maureen

Garden going wild at present, the freshness of spring having given over to the lushness of a wet summer. Grass keeps growing - I have to go mow (again)in a few minutes. We've been enjoying our veg and salad for a few weeks now. First time really that we've done any serious veg gardening and it's quite interesting trying to change eating habits to fit what is ready for pulling/cutting. Some successes and some less so, peas disappointing but strawberries delightful. Planning a new bed for strawberries and potting up lots of new plants so that they're more plentiful next year.

Will post some pics later.

Ahhhh very nice!!! Katy, I also have ivy in certain spots in my garden, look nice when I keep them "trimmed" lol..

Charlie.. what awesome pics!!! Do you eat your nasturitums?? I put mine into a green salad, like the light peppery taste. What is the name of the plants in pic #3,behind the watering can..with the largish green leaves? I am trying to identify all your plants!! Your gardening there has come very far in a year!!!

Casper.. I have several tomato varieties also..one new one for me to grow is Ace tomato..what a great producer that is..and of course zucchinis, Delicata winter squash(they only get 1 1/2 pds or so, perfect for 1- 2 people) Japanese cucumbers(supposedly burpless lol)bell peppers and a few hot peppers...jalapenos, habanero, thai dragon.

Hi Maureen

Thanks for the nice comments. The plants behind the watering can are butternut squash. Just starting to form the squashes now but I'm concerned that they are going to take over the entire tunnel. The three plants I put in sat there for about 6 weeks looking very sorry for themselves then suddenly exploded and have taken over the entire corner. I'm away shortly for a couple of weeks and think I'll need a machete when I get back to hack my way through!
